Maria`s Mexican Restaurant in Poteau

Apparently my waiter thought my name was boss since that's what he called me the whole time.

One emplyee was very rude

I love their shrimp fajita taco salads and chicken soup. Their wait staff is always attentive and polite. Their business in clean and neat inside. My husband and I eat here often.

The food was really good and the waitress made sure that everything was taken care of

Incredible place to eat. Service was top notch. Very clean and well-kept. Food was cooked to perfection. I had the enchiladas. They were flavorful and thankfully not drowned in sauce as some places prepare them. The chips were crisp and salted well and the salsa was flavorful but not overly spicy. Prices were very modest, in my opinion, to the quality and the drinks were delicious. This place is an absolute jewel of Poteau and a must-try for anyone looking for a quality restaurant.

Very friendly staff, not many Mexican Restaurants can make some good authentic Guacamole, but their's was on point, the staff were very diverse, the atmosphere was also friendly. I couldn't help but leave a nice tip out of the many $1 tips I saw there. 😅

I love this place! Their food is amazing and it's amazingly tasty! It's also really cheap! My boyfriend and I go here all the time!

This is one of the most family oriented resaurants around Poteau, and their Mexican food is not bad either, 😆!

one of our drinks and one of our food plates wasn't brought out at the same time as the rest of us there were four of us and our waiter didn't come to our table but one time to check on us. But he was nice.

First and last time here. Walked in placed an order, $40.00 worth. Got home and it was completley wrong. Took food back, and they were rude.

They got our huge Foul Air Volkswagen group in- no problem! We received great service and the food was delicious! I reccomend eating there if you are ever in the area.

I ordered two California Burritos. I was staying 2 minutes away. I get back to eat it, it was cold! The meat wasn’t carne Asada or even fajita steak like I requested! I paid $28 dollars and left a tip at the the drive thru window. All this for cold hamburger meat on a tortilla. I have never in my life eaten Mexican food this bad. But the little girl was nice. Rip off. I should have went to sonic. And I never complain. I was raised in the restaurant business. This isn’t Mexican food.

We had a large family dinner celebration of our son's graduation. The staff was very helpful in letting us set up seating and allowed us to bring in our decorations and a cake. They kept our drinks filled, chips full and plenty of salsa and cheese dip. We had a great time.

The food there is awful anymore. Nothing else has changed much. The atmosphere was still nice, but the food was awful. Since I have to drive from Spiro anyway I'll just go to Sallissaw.

Don't know what's going on with this restaurant...had always been able to get my Mexican food fix here. Maybe not top-notch fix but adequate fix. Now the salsa has changed- very bland- tastes like they opened a can of tomato sauce and poured it in a salsa bowl...and the chips are equally as tasteless! I think they may be baked instead of fried and are thicker and equally as bland. Maybe it's a conspiracy so you won't ask for refills of either one?Having said the bad things, my main dish was very tasty and would order it again if they correct the chips and salsa fiasco.Our waiter was friendly and we were served in a timely manner .Unfortunately for Maria's but good for me- there are several other Mexican food restaurants within 15 miles or so that have a handle on the chips and salsa portion of the meal.

Excellent tex-mex for a decent price

The best hands down.... my go to for great dinners. BEST AROUND

Usually go to the Maria's in Sallisaw. The food here was comparable to the Sallisaw store but for friendly service, I will stick with the Sallisaw store.

Delicious food every time we go.

Service is terrible on a Wednesday night. Maybe ten cars here and not had a refill. Had to ask for chips and salsa. Server not very tentative.

This is one of the better Maria's restaurants in the SE Oklahoma area. It is much cleaner, with fresher food and quicker staff. It also shares the upside of the other similar restaurants in the area, namely the large portion sizes and dirt-cheap prices.

Love the food....

Service lacked and my chile releno was very freezer burned. This is the second time in over a year that has happened. I was told they make it and freeze it for three days. It's not working out guys. I got sick from it. They took it off my ticket but the damage was already done. Don't order it folks. I finally learned my lesson. On a positive note, the restaurant is beautiful as always.
